Computer System Specialist/Software Tester

 

Duties include specification, building, testing, and supporting of computers systems in realtime, near realtime, data storage and server applications. We strive to use COTS hardware carefully configured for our hazardous environment systems. You will need to be a good record keeper and communicator in both spoken and written form. Your understanding of the fundamentals of PC hardware will enable us to build fast, robust, and inexpensive solutions to the problems we encounter.
You must understand PC architecture, and be very familiar with windows 2000 and XP. Our systems acquire 60 terabytes of data per month and must work in hazardous environments. You will work with the development staff on configuration and change control for both the hardware and software systems.
Software testing duties will range from web services, flash, user applications to real time applications.
