For years, Facet Technology Corporation has leveraged its state-of-the-art data-collection and mapping resources to provide our clients with precision digital road maps. Unlike anyone else in the industry, though, we collect fully georeferenced digital roadway images for every route that we drive. We've already amassed thousands of terabytes of image data - our image library contains billions of high resolution images.

 

Because all our images are fully georeferenced, we are able to use them to virtually redrive every road we've ever collected; which makes them a powerful tool that helps us minimize inaccuracies and efficiently extend the attribute-depth of our geographic database. Further, by making our ground-based imagery available as part of the SightMap® database, we've enabled on-demand access to first-person, street-level images of virtually every point on every road in our coverage area. That means SightMap® digital roadway imagery can be used in any number of location-based applications to give users immediate access to panoramic, feet-on-the-street views of practically every street-bound location on our map.
