SightMap® 

 

Facet Technology’s new routable road network product, SightMap®, will change the way the world looks at map data. SightMap® includes the public roadways in the US at high accuracy and includes full routing and connectivity data. Customers can choose from a variety of features including turn-by-turn navigation, street-level imagery, 3D roadways, slope, signage, and several other innovative features. The SightMap® routable network is available for use in portable navigation devices, in-dash vehicle applications, on-line location based services and mobile handsets.

Facet has been digitally mapping large portions of the US over the past several years with our sophisticated mobile mapping vehicles. In addition to the collection of critical map data, Facet has created an inventory of billions of georeferenced digital roadway images.

Our collection efforts are a key component to the development of SightMap®, the most accurate and correct map of roads for the continental US.

Facet’s unique skills, capabilities, and data have allowed it to re-invent the map-making process. Content will be updated with incredible speed and precision, a need in today’s ever changing world. Spatial accuracy and attribution will be redefined, enabling an expanded set of ADAS features for automotive manufacturers and equipment suppliers.
