Producers of man-made products like pharmaceuticals, integrated circuits, household products and soft drinks have traditionally had an arsenal of computer vision capabilities at their disposal.  These computer vision systems could perform inspection tasks at rapid speeds and for a multitude of products as long as the component being inspected was well defined and in a controlled environment.
 
Food producers that utilize meat, poultry or grain in their operations have not had access to similar computer vision techniques.  Because natural products are not well defined, typical computer vision techniques cannot be adapted for their inspection.

Our patented techniques were designed specifically for these difficult inspection tasks.  Our object identification software can locate natural objects within a factory setting.  Once an object is located, the following operations can be performed in real time:

- Classify (cut of meat, type of grain, etc.)
- Measure, either two-dimensional (length and width) of volumetric
- Perform image analysis (determine fat content, locate anomalies, identify    bones, etc.)

As was the case in the transportation industry, our computer vision techniques will revolutionize the identification and inspection aspects of the food processing industry.
